It was partly because we had a so called “Eat All You Want” BBQ buffet. We had ordered quite a number of food from this place, the food were nothing to shout about. The lamb shoulder was cut to paper thin, rib-eye beef  was also thinly sliced but still too tough to chew. On top of that, we were reminded quite a number of times that we should finish our food on the table before continue ordering next item. She repeatedly saying “Can you finish your food!!!????”. How rude!!! Never in my dining experience I encountered such customer service. Have you? Please comment.

Shooting Location

A friend of mine organized a photography session on this particular cloudy and rainy Sunday evening. Hence we were forced to shoot in a covered area, a high rise parking lot. This is my very first time shooting portrait with a hired model, in a challenging location. The parking is not spacious, with lots of distractions. The main light source was the cloudy sky and my camera built-in flash.

The car was parked with it’s rear facing the wall and the sky which make the background brighter than our main subject. I wonder what will happened if the car was parked the other way round?

Needless to say those shots didn’t come out as I wanted.  The background is too bright, my subject is under exposed.

The remedy to this situation was to use my camera built-in flash and get closer to my subject. The sky was omitted in some of the shoots  too.

Broga Hill - Just like your Windows XP Desktop

It was a normal Saturday morning but my hand phone alarm is ringing at wee hour of 4am. Time to get up and grab something to eat in order to conquer Broga Hill, to catch a glimpse of  the sunrise. I drove to SS2 to pickup my photo kaki but to find out that he was still in the dreamland. After 3 missed calls, he managed wake up. We then continue to wait for the organizer to picked us up from Kelana Jaya station. Obviously he was late too, seems like a friend of his was stuck in the toilet. By the time we reached the destination, the sun was out. Feeling a bit disappointed, we headed straight up the hill with our camera.

The path wasn’t that easy for a first timer like me, it was an uphill climb with some slippery and steep slopes. We also notice soil erosion that make it more scary.

After all the climbing, we managed to see some change of terrain, from muddy soil to  a vast fields of lalang.

When the radio first aired his song, I was drawn by his unique voice, it is matured, well controlled, smooth and special. Not many mainland artist can do so well in cantopop music scene in HK and among cantonese/mandarin listening audience in the world IMO. I am also impressed by his ability to compose very beautiful songs which are different from most mainstream pop songs, especially those sad tunes. He can belt out those wonderful ballads effortlessly with his big lungs, although he has small body frame size.

While To-do list is good for breaking down huge tasks,  Just Do It approach involve less planning, less thinking, less stressful, more intuitive method, IMHO. I find it a more effective way to tackle house chores like filling monthly bill, doing laundry, etc.
